KeePassDroid – Apps on Google Play

"KeePass" is the password manager developed by Dominik Reichl. Any software by other developers that is using the name "KeePass" in the software's name without any direct non-numeric prefix/suffix is abusing the name "KeePass" and we do not recommend such software. For example, "KeePassDroid" is ok, but "KeePass Droid" is not. KDBX 4 - KeePass As of KDBX 4, the Argon2 key derivation function can be used for transforming the composite master key (as protection against dictionary attacks). Argon2 is the winner of the Password Hashing Competition. Up to KDBX 3.1, KeePass used AES-KDF, a key derivation function based on iterating the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The KDBX format was introduced with version 2 of KeePass. The previous version used the .KDB format. KeePass 2 can import older KDB files as well as export to the KDB format. NOTE: A Mac and Linux edition of KeePass exists called KeePassX. However, this edition does not yet support the KDBX format.

The other apps all had various usability issues. For example, lack of support for the latest Argon2 key derivation in KDBX 4 databases, or an option to synchronize database. KDBX File Extension - What is it? How to open a KDBX file? The KDBX file type is primarily associated with KeePass by Dominik Reichl.
