I have the same problem with BBC iPlayer not working on my NowTV Smart Box 4631. I have tried the removing the app restarted and reinstalling trick with no luck. I just get the same message which is; Something went wrong playing this program. This is normally a temporary problem. If it continues, here are some things to try:

All internet apps work except BBC iPlayer. App loads, you can see the programmes etc but when you go to play anything, the circle spins for a while then the following message is displayed: "02001. I have the 50 inch version and the only workaround that works for me is accessing iplayer by pressing the green button while watching a live BBC channel. Then, go to the BBC iPlayer website.
